Kilauea Volcano Adventure Hawaii Forest and Trail

Kilauea Volcano Adventure Hawaii Forest and Trail

During the Kilauea Volcano Adventure with Hawaii Forest and Trail, you’ll have the chance to observe a wonderful native rainforest, explore remarkable volcanic formations, visit a lava tube, and experience a sundry change in climate and geography.  Through the Big Island Eco-Tour’s detailed natural history and geologic interpretation, driving, and small walks, you’ll learn about and discover the world’s most active volcano.  A delicious picnic lunch will be served to the Big Island Tour group en route.  Depending on the current volcanic activity, these Big Island Activities may leave the park early to search for current lava flow at Kalapana or bring you down the Chain of Craters road in the park.  The Kilauea Volcano Adventure with Hawaii Forest and Trail is one of the most popular Hawaii activities available.

The geologic formation of the Hawaiian Islands was an unbelievable battle between the forces of water and fire and is one of the globe’s most exciting natural history tales.  There is not better place to observe and learn about the incredible nature of volcanoes than from one of our interpretive naturalists on these Big Island Eco-Tours at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Your Big Island Tour group will be able to see the “must see” places in the Park as you learn about their historic and geological importance.  Frommer’s Guide to Hawaii says that the Kilauea Volcano Adventure with Hawaii Forest and Trail “may very well be the highlight of your vacation.”  This Big Island Eco-Tour received the “Keep It Hawaii” Merit Award in 2002.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is an incredible and treasured place that is listed as both an International Biosphere preserve and a World Heritage Site.

The menu on these Big Island Activities includes:  Continental breakfast including pastries, fresh island fruit, 100% Kona Coffee, juice, and tea.  Lunch consists of your choice of deli sandwich (turkey, veggie, roast beef, ham & cheese, pastrami, combo, or tuna), chips, sodas, and chocolate chip macadamia-nut cookies.

Check out this map of the Big Island of Hawaii that shows the various Hawaii Forest and Trail guided tours as well as locations of the guided tours and directions to meeting places.
